How often should I have my car detailed? We recommend having your car detailed every 4 months to maximize protection, every car, Boat, RV have different needs. It is critical to have your vehicle detailed every six-months. Every new car needs to be protected. Now don’t be a fool and purchase the $120 special or that incredible-wax from your local car wash – most are a complete sham (basically a spray on sealant that coats the car for a month or two). Additionally, contrary to popular belief, the factory does not put a protective layer of wax on the car for you. The car you receive is basically naked with clear coat protecting the paint and nothing to protect the clear coat itself. This leaves your finish highly susceptible to environmental contaminants that cause imperfections. All you have to do to combat this is give your car a once-over with a quality paint sealant. You’ll be protected for upwards of 6 months (depending on the product) from dust, debris, fallout, and UVs. If your budget allows, have an assessment done on your car, boat, RV, or motorcycle for our premium ceramic coatings which last longer than traditional wax and sealant.
-
What is the difference between polishing and waxing?Polishing your car brings out the depth, gloss and shine for that “wet look” that most car enthusiasts crave. However, polishing adds no protection to your vehicle and in fact usually strips off any previous coat of wax or sealant on the paint. For this reason, it is essential that the car is waxed or synthetically sealed after polishing to “lock in” the polish and protect your car, yielding long-lasting protection and shine.
-
What is Oxidation Removal?UV radiation is universal, unrelenting, and can never be eliminated. Not only does it burn human skin, it burns the exterior “skin” of motor vehicles, aircraft, boats, and trailers. This process is called “oxidation”. Every surface is fair game. Paint, plastic, rubber, and vinyl, just to name a few. Paint turns dull, then chalky. Rubber seals and bumpers turn white, dry out, and become hard as a rock. Vinyl trim will also turn white and eventually crack. Hard plastic (air dams, side mirrors, trim) react similarly to paint.

Is there an alternative if I dont want a Ceramic coating applied to my car?
-
My car is brand new. Do I really need it detailed?Absolutely! New cars have usually been sitting on the lot or have been in transit for months before you drive away with them. New car dealerships rarely carry out full details on new vehicles, so there are a plethora of contaminants in your car’s paint. Having your new car detailed will start you off on the right foot and ensure there is a proper layer of wax or sealant on the paint. Ask about our new vehicle protection package or ceramic coating finishes!

Industry-grade ceramic coating is a chemical polymer solution that is applied to the exterior of a vehicle to protect it from external paint damage. Typically applied by hand, it blends with the paint of your car and creates an additional hydrophobic layer of protection, and high gloss! Coatings serve many functions. Some are designed largely to provide a desired appearance or effect on a substrate (automotive, boat, motorcycle, and other surfaces that it can be applied to). Others are intended to be mainly protective on the applied surface. In many applications, paints are expected to afford a combination of aesthetics and extended protection. Common coatings in the automotive, architectural, and special purpose segments are based on polymer resins, or binders, that via various mechanisms undergo film formation once applied to a surface (automotive, aerospace, architectural and where graphene is predicted to impact more than 45 industry sectors and applications, with the top areas including energy storage, semiconductors, composites/plastics/polymers, advanced materials, metals, chemicals, display electronics, bulk manufacturing, sensors, and healthcare. Some real important facts about coatings: Many industrial coatings are also polymeric (polymer) in nature. Ceramic coatings, unlike coatings based on polymer resins, and consist of inorganic materials (contain no carbon). Common ceramic coatings include alumina, titania, zirconia, alumina-magnesia, hafnia, silicon carbide, silicon nitride, and boron carbide, as well as oxides of many of these materials. Ceramic coatings are also used in various sectors including the oil and gas, petrochemical, steel, plastics, textile, and other industries. Geographically, Asia-Pacific accounted for 38% of the ceramic coatings market by value in 2014, according to market research firm Markets and Markets. Both the aerospace and automobile industries present numerous opportunities for graphene use as we enter into 2021. Does your car need the clay bar process before a detail?YES! Claying is one of the most important steps in cleaning the paint, and cleans the paint better than a wash alone. Important note: ‘CLAYBAR’ is not designed to remove oxidation as some discount detailers would have you believe. Dead, oxidized paint should always be removed thoroughly with a compound, then the paint is polished, waxed, and sealed. A simple ‘clay & wax’ can ONLY be done if your vehicle’s paint is in very good condition to begin with.

What is the difference between a ceramic coating and a "Self-Heal" Coating?"Body Brilliant's hand applied Self Healing Technology is based on ceramic nano coating formulation. The backbone contains ceramic polymer chains, infused with our smart nano particles. For example, imagine nano sized magnets attached to the end of the durable ceramic chains, creating a memory-polymer. The memory polymer recovers to its original (cured) state when heated. By combining the ceramic formulations with our hand applied self healing technology; our Self Healing Nano Coatings provide a wide range of robust protection. It is all in the amount of time spent on your vehicle unlike other coatings which are applied and immediately wiped off. Our coatings are applied in a standarized, systematic fashion allowing the cotaing to "cure" on its surfaces for which the results surpass any other coatings on the market today!
